Functional Process Analyst

Rate - Up to £550 per day Inside IR35 overall assignment rate to umbrella.

Location - London or York 50% onsite hybrid working

Duration - Initial 6 months (Extensions likely)

Sanderson are working on an exclusive basis with a leading insurance client who are looking for a functional process analyst to work on a finance focused data transformation project.

The ideal candidate for this role would have worked in the insurance sector previoulsy within finance based teams.

Role Expectation: A Functional Process Analyst who identifies the datasets and data concepts required by process teams across Finance. They will identify datasets and data concepts current in use and define future data requirements to achieve pillar 1 and pillar 2 data products. They will be knowledgeable about Finance processes and be able to translate these into data needs.

Current State & Gap: Process analysis is often narrow in scope, focused on this specific aims of a project. This role will seek to deliver the data requirements of a project, but also identify how they fit into the wider Finance Data Product and pillar approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Map the current state datasets and data concepts, using the Finance Data use cases as a base.
  • Use the Use Case outcomes to identify the Pillar 3 Finance Data Outcomes, and identify from the inputs to those outcomes, what are the implied Pillar 1 and Pillar 3 data products.
  • Using these as a base, identify the target state Pillar 1 and Pillar 2 data products that will enable a productionised data product solution that will be reusable across Finance and the wider group.
  • To achieve these data products, they will define data requirements that enable a reusable set of Data Products that work for users across Finance and the wider group and pass these to the Finance Data Modeller.
  • Conduct initial SME interviews jointly with the Business Owner. Support Business Owner in further engagement and scoping activities, produce deliverables under the leadership of the Business Owner.
