Are you an experienced Regulatory Business Analyst with experience of Anomalous Activity Detection and Systems Monitoring, with a strong focus on ensuring technology operational resilience in line the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and Operational Resilience (SS1-21)? As a BA within the technology resilience team, you will help strengthen this banking group's operational resilience by ensuring the correct level of monitoring is in place to highlight and mitigate potential system outages. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure IT processes, controls, and practices align with regulatory requirements.

As a Resilience & Remediation Business Analyst, you will lead workshops to identify gaps in Anomalous Activity Detection and Systems Monitoring, and map critical business functions and services to existing monitoring configurations. You will develop plans to enhance monitoring in line with regulatory standards, update policies, procedures, and standards to support future-state requirements, and collaborate with tooling developers to ensure all monitoring needs are addressed. Additionally, you will review regulatory and implementation technical standards, compare them to current requirements to recommend modifications, and develop or enhance reporting templates to meet DORA regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead workshops to identify gaps in Anomalous Activity Detection and Systems Monitoring
  • Map Critical and Important Business Services to current monitoring configurations
  • Develop and implement plans to uplift monitoring and reporting to meet DORA and SS1-21 standards
  • Update policies, procedures, and standards to support future-state resilience
  • Collaborate with tooling developers to ensure monitoring requirements are met
  • Review and compare regulatory technical standards with current processes, recommending improvements
  • Develop and enhance reporting templates to fulfil DORA compliance

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, delivering regulatory compliance and operational resilience initiatives
  • Demonstrable experience with operational resilience, knowledge of DORA, and systems monitoring projects
  • Strong knowledge of ICT-related systems monitoring, cyber anomalous activity detection, and relevant regulations (EBA, PRA, ESMA)
  • Experience with ITIL and ServiceNow
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and JIRA
