Business Development Manager - Water Hygiene & Water Treatment

Basic Salary: 40,000-45,000 + car allowance + commission + bonus + benefits
OTE: 65,000+
Region: South East England (London-centric, field-based)

An established compliance and environmental services company is expanding its commercial team and is looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across London and the wider South East. This opportunity is ideal for a Business Development Manager with a strong background in water hygiene and related compliance services.

In this field-based role, the Business Development Manager will focus on generating new revenue through Facilities Management organisations and direct end-user clients. You will promote a full suite of water hygiene and treatment services, supporting clients with Legionella compliance and risk management solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and win new business opportunities within FM and end-user markets
  • Build long-term relationships with decision-makers, including Facilities Managers and Compliance Leads
  • Assess client needs and present tailored water hygiene service solutions
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and presentations
  • Negotiate contracts and close profitable agreements
  • Attend networking events and industry forums
  • Work closely with internal service delivery and technical teams
  • Maintain strong knowledge of water hygiene legislation (ACoP L8, HSG274, HTM 04-01)

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager (minimum 5 years)
  • Background in water hygiene, water treatment, or FM services
  • Confident communicator with strong commercial awareness
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline using CRM systems
  • Full UK driving licence
