M&E Technical Manager
***£65K - £85K salary (dependent upon experience), 20% bonus, company pension scheme, remote working, life assurance and private medical insurance ***
Our client is looking for an experienced M&E technical manager with significant healthcare experience to join their growing team.
The Technical Manager will provide engineering based technical solutions for asset replacement as well as providing risk advice and commercial support across a varied portfolio of real estate projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Capital Expenditure Planning and Forecasting
- Support the team in the verification and preparation of annual 1- & 5-Year Lifecycle Plans, ensuring alignment with forecasts and contractual obligations.
Strategic Asset Management
- Provide technical and commercial support to project stakeholders on all aspects of technical assurance.
Lifecycle Performance Monitoring & Capex Delivery Oversight
- Periodic monitoring of capital plan progress, recording and updating via Lifecycle Progress Trackers.
- Provide technical and commercial support for lifecycle expenditure requests, ensuring compliance with project agreements and value for money.
Procurement and Delivery of Capital Expenditure
- Prepare / provide ad hoc support in preparation of RFI’s, Scopes of Work and RFQ’s, as required, to facilitate Capital Expenditure at site level.
- Support the development of project works packages
Supply Chain Management
- Develop supply chain of industry expert to support the management service
- Develop project brief / specification documentation, in conjunction with the wider team, to support capex delivery strategy.
Governance and Reporting
- Prepare and deliver reports, including presentations to key stakeholders.
- Attend regular stakeholder meetings to address progress, risks, and strategic initiatives.
Continuous Improvement and Assurance
- Support the wider team in the undertaking and review of lifecycle assurance reviews, focusing on technical, base data, and O&M processes.
- Carry out monthly assurance audits on key assets across our managed portfolio
- Support the benchmarking of asset performance and costs against portfolio standards to identify improvement opportunities.
Person specification:
- Great team player with plenty of tenacity to overcome difficulties and get the job done well.
- Organised, able to work autonomously and balance competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- HND/Degree qualification in a relevant technical field
- Experience of working with a live operational asset and the complexities that brings
- Ideally some experience and understanding of PFI/PPP contracts but not essential.
