Client Details

I'm working on a retainer with a fast-growing, mission-led technology scale-up on a bold mission: to transform the circular tech economy and bridge the digital divide in the UK. Following a successful Series A raise, they're now on an ambitious journey to 10x their impact in 3 years and need an Operational Excellence Manager to help build the operational engine that will make that growth possible.

This role will sit at the heart of their operations, helping them go from scrappy start up to streamlined scale-up. If you're the kind of person who sees chaos as opportunity, thrives on turning messy processes into clean systems, and loves using data to drive change, this is your moment.

Description

  • Use data to drive smarter decisions - build dashboards, spot inefficiencies, and improve processes

  • Boost operational performance - track KPIs, optimise workflows, and lead change across teams and systems

  • Own quality & compliance - manage QC/QA, prep for certifications, and embed a culture of excellence

  • Train and lead teams - deliver training, guide change, and build operational capability

  • Collaborate across functions - work closely with logistics, data, and customer service, reporting into the Head of Ops with high visibility

Profile

  • 5+ years in production/operations/quality roles in ITAD, manufacturing, electronics, or related industries

  • Strong command of data tools and methods - Excel (including pivot tables), dashboards, relational data

  • Experience implementing and maintaining ISO and similar standards

  • Experience in fast-growing or scaling businesses highly desirable

  • Strong communication, leadership, and change management skills

Job Offer

  • Join a fast-growing, purpose-driven scale-up on a mission to fight e-waste and digital exclusion

  • Own and shape operations during a pivotal post-Series A growth phase

  • Make real impact - every improvement you lead helps get devices to people who need them

  • Work with a mission-led, values-driven team that values grit, innovation, and purpose

  • Competitive salary + package in a business where your work truly matters
