- Designing, delivering, and maintaining resilient network and server infrastructure.
- Managing a virtualised environment (VMware) and implementing robust backup solutions (Azure Site Recovery, Veeam).
- Overseeing Windows Server and endpoint deployments, with a strong focus on endpoint security and system optimisation.
- Supporting Cisco network environments and working with Meraki cloud-based solutions.
- Monitoring system performance and proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Ensuring compliance with Cyber Essentials and contributing to the development of IT strategies.
- Supporting infrastructure services across a large, diverse estate, including security systems.
- Strong experience in network and server infrastructure management, with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Expertise with Cisco switches, VMware environments, Windows Server 2016/2019, Azure technologies, and backup strategies.
- Hands-on knowledge of Meraki dashboards and associated wireless and CCTV technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly to a non-technical audience.
- Strong prioritisation and time management skills, with a keen eye for continuous improvement and automation.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) (essential).
- VMware Certified Professional and Microsoft Azure or 365 certifications (really desirable).
