I am currently working directly with a large London Borough looking to bring on a Network Engineer to play a key role in the development and delivery of the future network architecture, which includes the edge and core physical networks, wireless networks and core services such as DNS, DHCP.
- Type: Contract
- Day Rate: 450 - 475 per day inside IR35

Your new role
You will take responsibility for evaluation, prototyping, design & development activity for new and changed services in this area, ensuring they are designed and implemented to meet functional, security, performance, scalability and business/IT continuity requirements. You will ensure the technical lifecycle management processes for network services are developed to enable efficient and effective management and support.
What you'll need to succeed
Essential Experience:
- Has relevantexperience in own area of work and can answer colleagues' questions and is ableto work independently without direct supervision.
- CiscoCertification essential
- CiscoWireless experience beneficial
- DNA,ISE and SDN experience desirable but not essential
- Demonstrablehand on experience working on a multi-site.
- Enterpriselevel experience, incorporating scalable, hierarchical models for LANs andWANs.
- Hands-onworking knowledge of Cisco routers, Cisco switches
- Goodknowledge of TCP/IP networking including VLANs, layer 2/3 switching/routing.
Current or previous London Borough Council experience is highly desired.
