Lead Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Network Engineer experienced with Cisco Meraki, Juniper Mist and Ubiquiti solutions as well as experience with Ekahau Wi-Fi solutions and ideally CCNP / JNCIP certified to join this dynamic team.

This position requires a seasoned Network Engineer professional with extensive expertise in IT networks, particularly in the coworking and flexible workspace industry. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to leadership, innovation, and the delivery of high-performance network solutions.

The Network Engineer requires extensive Wi-Fi design and troubleshooting experience, ensuring robust and reliable wireless network infrastructures for our clients. The successful Network Engineer will play a key role in driving excellence in IT network design, implementation, and management.

Experience with Cisco Meraki, Juniper Mist and Ubiquiti solutions as well as experience with Ekahau Wi-Fi solutions. Ideally CCNP / JNCIP certified.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Management

Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and hands-on support.
Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, ensuring team members are equipped with the skills and tools to excel.

Network Design and Implementation

Design, implement, and optimise scalable network solutions tailored to customer needs, with a focus on Wi-Fi design and troubleshooting.
Evaluate and recommend emerging IT network solutions to enhance efficiency, security, and performance.

Technical Expertise and Troubleshooting

Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues with a focus on minimising downtime and ensuring seamless operations.
Provide 2nd line support for all network-related issues and assist with 1st line support when needed.

Customer Engagement and Pre-Sales Support

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of network solutions.
Offer pre-sales support by working with the sales team to specify and propose innovative solutions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer accounts, ensuring their unique network requirements are met.

Documentation and Industry Expertise

Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including designs, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Stay updated with industry trends, particularly in Wi-Fi technologies, ensuring our network solutions are cutting-edge.

AV & Video Conferencing
Print Management
Access Control & CCTV
Workspace Management Platforms (e.g., Nexudus, OfficeRnD)

Qualifications

Experience and Technical Skills

Proven experience as a Network Engineer, with a focus on Wi-Fi design and troubleshooting for environments requiring robust and seamless wireless connectivity.
Experience with Cisco Meraki, Juniper Mist and Ubiquiti solutions.
Experience with Ekahau Wi-Fi solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to diagnose and resolve network challenges efficiently.
Experience in the coworking and flexible workspace industry is a significant advantage.

Leadership and Communication

Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor a team effectively.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Certifications and Knowledge

Relevant certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Ekahau certifications.
Familiarity with related technologies, including AV solutions, workspace management platforms, and access control systems, is a plus.
