Lead Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Network Engineer experienced with Cisco Meraki, Juniper Mist and Ubiquiti solutions as well as experience with Ekahau Wi-Fi solutions and ideally CCNP / JNCIP certified to join this dynamic team.

This position requires a seasoned Network Engineer professional with extensive expertise in IT networks, particularly in the coworking and flexible workspace industry. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to leadership, innovation, and the delivery of high-performance network solutions.

The Network Engineer requires extensive Wi-Fi design and troubleshooting experience, ensuring robust and reliable wireless network infrastructures for our clients. The successful Network Engineer will play a key role in driving excellence in IT network design, implementation, and management.

Experience with Cisco Meraki, Juniper Mist and Ubiquiti solutions as well as experience with Ekahau Wi-Fi solutions. Ideally CCNP / JNCIP certified.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Management

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and hands-on support.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, ensuring team members are equipped with the skills and tools to excel.

Network Design and Implementation

  • Design, implement, and optimise scalable network solutions tailored to customer needs, with a focus on Wi-Fi design and troubleshooting.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging IT network solutions to enhance efficiency, security, and performance.

Technical Expertise and Troubleshooting

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues with a focus on minimising downtime and ensuring seamless operations.
  • Provide 2nd line support for all network-related issues and assist with 1st line support when needed.

Customer Engagement and Pre-Sales Support

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of network solutions.
  • Offer pre-sales support by working with the sales team to specify and propose innovative solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer accounts, ensuring their unique network requirements are met.

Documentation and Industry Expertise

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including designs, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, particularly in Wi-Fi technologies, ensuring our network solutions are cutting-edge.

Additional Responsibilities

Provide expertise on supplementary solutions we offer, as needed, including:

  • AV & Video Conferencing
  • Print Management
  • Access Control & CCTV
  • Workspace Management Platforms (e.g., Nexudus, OfficeRnD)

Qualifications

Experience and Technical Skills

  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer, with a focus on Wi-Fi design and troubleshooting for environments requiring robust and seamless wireless connectivity.
  • Experience with Cisco Meraki, Juniper Mist and Ubiquiti solutions.
  • Experience with Ekahau Wi-Fi solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to diagnose and resolve network challenges efficiently.
  • Experience in the coworking and flexible workspace industry is a significant advantage.

Leadership and Communication

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor a team effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Certifications and Knowledge

  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Ekahau certifications.
  • Familiarity with related technologies, including AV solutions, workspace management platforms, and access control systems, is a plus.
