IT Operations Manager – South East London, Hybrid- £60,000

A well regarded charity with head offices in South East London (Sydenham) is looking or a competent IT Service Manager to play a vital role bin managing their IT infrastructure IaaS systems and secondarily, its digital services and SaaS platforms.  This hybrid role bridges the gap between technical support and strategic digital delivery by providing ICT support, leading the implementation and optimisation of digital tools, ensuring system reliability and compliance, and driving user adoption through targeted training and continuous improvement.

The post-holder will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners, including the organisation’s Managed Service Provider (MSP), to ensure that ICT systems, digital platforms, and technologies remain operational, effective, and aligned with the evolving needs of the business. With a strong emphasis on user experience, technical reliability, and continuous improvement, this role is instrumental in advancing the organisation’s technology and digital capability and fostering confidence in the use of technology across all levels.

Key responsibilities of this IT Service Manager role include

Strategic Liaison and Support Oversight: Act as the primary liaison with the MSP, ensuring user needs are clearly communicated and support is delivered effectively. While 1st, 2nd, and the vast majority of 3rd line support is outsourced, maintain oversight and continuity across all ICT services.

Technology Enablement and Innovation: Support the organisation’s ICT strategy by promoting the adoption of technology, driving process improvement, and working across departments to identify and implement digital solutions that enhance operational effectiveness.

Governance and Compliance: Ensure all ICT systems and activities comply with data protection, privacy, and cybersecurity standards, contributing to a secure and accountable digital environment.

Project Ownership and Delivery: Take responsibility for assigned ICT projects and tasks, ensuring timely delivery to agreed quality standards, while maintaining a proactive and solutions-oriented approach to both day-to-day support and complex technical initiatives.

Technical Fluency and Advisory Role: Develop expertise in key digital platforms (e.g. Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Asana), advising teams on their optimal use. Remain up to date with emerging technologies and recommend innovations that align with the organisation’s evolving needs.

API Integration and Data Flows: Understand and implement API connections and data flows between business-critical systems to support seamless integration and data integrity across platforms.

The salary on offer for this role is up to £60,000 plus benefits.
