About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced MEP Manager to oversee the delivery of major construction projects in the West London area. This role involves full responsibility for managing Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) packages on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.
Reporting to the Project Director and working as part of the site management team, you will coordinate all aspects of the MEP delivery, from procurement and design management through to installation, commissioning, and handover. This position is suited to professionals from either a mechanical or electrical background with proven experience managing MEP packages valued at 16 million or more, including both main and CDP packages.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the procurement, design coordination, installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.
Lead MEP subcontractors across multiple areas or buildings within the project.
Ensure works are carried out in accordance with Health & Safety standards, programme requirements, and quality expectations.
Oversee technical submissions, coordination drawings, and interface management with other trades.
Monitor progress, performance, and compliance across all MEP-related activities.
Liaise with internal project teams, consultants, and external contractors to resolve technical and delivery issues.
Ensure documentation is up-to-date, and support the handover and snagging process.
Experience & Skills Required:
Strong background in managing complex MEP works on large-scale construction projects.
Proven experience in either mechanical or electrical disciplines.
Familiarity with managing MEP works across multiple sites or phases.
Experience working with either a main contractor or a leading MEP subcontractor.
Relevant qualifications in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (desirable but not essential).
Strong organisational, communication, and coordination skills.
Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
IT literate with knowledge of relevant construction and project management tools.
