Programme Technical Lead (Technical IT Project Manager with architecture experience and ideally a computer sceince degree), is required by my client. Theyare looking for a hybrid candidate who is proven as a Technical IT Project Manager who can carry out technical reviews of both platforms and suppporting applications and 3rd party suppliers to ensure that the projects are on track for a succesful derlivery. They require someone with a background delivering large scale programmes within the Insurance / FS sector.

** 6 month initial outside IR35 assignment **

Summary:

  • Use specialist knowledge and experience regarding implementation of new Policy Administration System (PAS) and supporting applications (or similar within insurance or wider financial services), to consult and co-ordinate at a technical level between teams to facilitate delivery and hand over into the Global Support Functions for the US Market

Deliverables:

  • Technical review of the newplatform and supporting applications in readiness for the go live and subsequent roll out, identifying any technical deficiencies or omissions, using specialist knowledge of similar implementations
  • Updated technical system overview diagrams showing the Platform and supporting applications
  • Review and identification of cross-team technical issues and recording/updating these within the overall programme RAID log
  • Review of existing plans for post-live technical support, identifying gaps and improvements with actionable recommendations
  • Contribute to, review and advise on governance gate timing and technical criteria for the system roll out
  • Review and contribute to the technical strategy for supporting post-launch ongoing development. This shall include branching and merging, environment strategy and key technical decision points and criteria.
  • Review of platform and supporting application monitoring and disaster recovery capability for fitness for purpose
  • Consult on and co-ordinate resolution of cross-team technical issues during delivery and handover to production support
  • Weekly reports on progress against the deliverables to the Programme Director plus relevant slide(s) for the Steering Committee and other regular reporting packs

We require a candidate who canface off to both the 3rd party system integrators and also the clients steer co.

They work a hybrid model with around one day per week in the London office.
