A leading company has embarked on a significant digital transformation programme, the scope of which touches most parts of the business. Based five days in their office in central London, we are looking for a Project Manager with experience of working within change & transformation programmes to lead the delivery of new systems and processes. This is a broad role which will require the role holder to be comfortable across the full spectrum of project delivery activities, from project initiation and definition through to planning and execution of project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities and Primary Deliverables

To be successful in the role:

  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan, ensuring that the project is executed in a way that meets business objectives.
  • Drive delivery to required time, cost, and quality dimensions.
  • Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards, and assessing risks.
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to the finance team and other business stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
  • Work with other Project Managers across the business on interconnected projects.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with peers and vendors to ensure delivery of project objectives.
  • Identify resources needed to reach objectives and manage those resources in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Manage implementation and testing of new systems and integrations to existing systems as they relate to the project scope.
  • Ensure effective service transition, including set up and delivery of hypercare periods through to service stability.
  • Assist in enhancing the current BAU support process and manage this with the Finance Systems Lead.

Relevant Experience & Education

  • Experience with and knowledge of project management principles, phases of the project life cycle, methodologies, and tools, and the skill to know when and how to use them.
  • Track record in delivering system and business change projects for financial teams.
  • Background driving continuous improvement.
  • Experience of managing end-to-end system projects, including ERP implementation.
  • Hands-on delivery focused.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent active listening skills.
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
  • Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere.
  • Organized with a natural inclination for planning.
  • Problem-solving and root-cause identification skills.
  • Able to work effectively at all levels of an organization.
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others.
  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
  • Experience with large-scale transformation programs.
  • Project management certification or designation desired.
  • Experience in Azure DevOps preferred but not essential.
