Are you an experienced Project Manager with a passion for delivering high-quality housing improvements? We're looking for a confident and capable professional to lead the delivery of major planned maintenance and refurbishment programmes within a busy and diverse London borough.

This is a unique opportunity to take the reins of capital investment projects - overseeing large-scale improvement schemes from inception through to completion. This is an ongoing interim role, candidates must be available immediately.

Key responsibilities include

  • Leading the design and delivery of planned maintenance programmes across council housing stock
  • Managing a team of contract managers, customer relations officers, and technical staff
  • Controlling capital budgets exceeding 25m, ensuring value for money and financial compliance
  • Coordinating with asset management, regeneration, and other internal teams to align workstreams
  • Monitoring contractor performance and implementing improvements where necessary
  • Consulting with residents and ensuring their voices shape the delivery of projects
  • Producing reports and presenting to senior leadership, councillors, and other key partners

Client Requirements

  • Extensive experience in managing large projects and teams
  • Qualified in MRICS/MCIOB
  • Knowledge of the relevant Building Safety Legislation (Building Safety Bill, Fire Safety Act, Duty of Care) and the actions the Council needs to take to meet the relevant requirements
  • Confident using IT systems for reports, data, and communication.
