Our client is a specialist research consultancy working across fragile states and nations to produce and manage research that informs communication strategies for government and corporate clients that affect change in social and political issues. Based within the Europe team, Russian social or political knowledge is highly desirable. This is a superb opportunity, for an ambitious candidate with experience in qualitative (focus groups, IDIs etc and quantitative (surveys) data collection, ideally gained from a market or social research agency.

 

The Research Executive is primarily a support role on mixed methods primary research projects (data checking, charting, managing QC, etc.) and you will be working towards managing the entire research process on small projects.

  • Instrument design, instrument scripting management, translation process, training preparation, supplier management and sampling  Travel – conducting training, and supplier briefings as required Manage quality control process and check data for anomalous results Support project team in data maintenance, reporting design and analysis. Take notes from focus groups and use these to form summary reports for clients Support project team in ensuring accuracy of deliverables – check tables, datafiles and reports for accuracy Actively participate in project inception and final review meetings
  • Understand how client requirements translate into research projects and contribute to research design Collate reports on QC and project efficiency for reporting to account directors. Prepare contracts for local vendors Support team in proposal writing, ensure accuracy and concision throughout Contribute to discussion with account directors on strategy and identify opportunities for business growth Take photos and post to company twitter while traveling on projects

Desirable Skills – not essential

 

Russian, Georgian, Ukrainian or Romanian speaker Background in or understanding either commercially or academically of Eastern Europe and/or former Soviet Republics Extensive experience of data analysis and visualization tools such as SPSS or Power Bi
