Join a prestigious UK-based postal service provider's Cyber Security Team as a Project Manager, where you will manage the delivery process for key projects including the Cyber Defence Centre and other critical initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to cyber security enhancements within a historic yet forward-thinking organisation.
Day-to-day of the role:- Oversee the project delivery process for the Cyber Defence Centre and other key projects.
- Work closely with the Programme Manager and report to the Cyber Portfolio and Architecture Director.
- Ensure smooth onboarding and operational readiness of external project teams, such as those from a major consulting firm.
- Manage access and resources needed for external teams to deliver effectively.
- Support additional projects like the Vulnerability Simplification Project and Secure OT, with details to be discussed during the interview process.
- Utilise strong communication skills to challenge and push back when necessary, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Manage project scope, budget, and timelines effectively.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in large, complex organisations, with familiarity in both Waterfall & Agile methodologies.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills at all levels.
- Strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM) concepts and technologies.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, such as GDPR and CCPA.
- Experience ensuring data security and compliance throughout project lifecycles.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues during the project.
- Experience adapting to changing project requirements and challenges.
- Vendor/Supplier management experience in a multi-supplier environment.
- High resilience, drive, and persistence to maintain progress and resolve issues; proven negotiation skills.
- Previous experience managing Cyber projects.
- Experience working for a consultancy.
