IT Support & Systems Administrator - About the role
We are a growing MGA operating within the London Market and seeking a hands-on, solutions-focused IT professional to support and enhance our internal technology landscape. This is a broad role suited to someone who enjoys variety — from day-to-day desktop support and systems admin to contributing to technology-driven business change.
IT Support & Systems Administrator - Key duties (non-exhaustive)
Set up and configure new user accounts, laptops, and associated hardware/software.
Provide desktop and application support across the business.
Maintain and support server infrastructure (on-premises and cloud-based).
Manage user access, security permissions, and software licensing.
Administer and support the company’s phone and communications system
Act as a liaison with external vendors or MSPs where necessary.
Provide light development/configuration support post-implementation of our new Policy Management System (PMS).
Support the onboarding and offboarding process from a tech perspective.
Proactively troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues as they arise.
Participate in ongoing tech improvement projects and automation initiatives.
IT Support & Systems Administrator - Key requirements
Prior experience in an IT support or infrastructure role.
Strong knowledge of Windows environments, Office 365, and networking fundamentals.
Comfortable supporting a small-to-medium sized office in a broad capacity.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Familiarity with setting up and maintaining VoIP phone systems.
A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a willingness to get stuck in.
Excellent communication skills - able to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Experience in any/all of the following areas would be highly advantageous:
Insurance or financial services sector, especially MGAs or brokers.
Exposure to Azure & Salesforce
Basic scripting or light development capabilities (e.g., PowerShell, SQL, APIs).
Understanding of PMS or CRM systems and system integration concepts.
