A salary of £600 to £700 per day is offered, depending on experience, with the contracting route through an Umbrella Company.

Join our team at Reed Professional Services, a leading Management Consultancy and technology services provider. We are currently seeking an experienced Solution Architect to work on a significant project with our client, a prestigious and historic organisation known for its extensive postal services across the UK.

Day-to-day of the role:

Collaborate with client's Application Architecture team on Project Mars, focusing on the Universal Service Obligation (USO).
Design and deliver large scale, complex integrated IT solutions.
Provide technical guidance and architectural solutions to meet business and IT needs.
Ensure architectural designs are in compliance with specifications and guide the technical team through the development process.
Communicate complex technical designs effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

In-depth knowledge of a wide range of Information Technologies, with experience in integration and configuration.
Proven experience across all phases of the development lifecycle in technical architecture roles.
Strong ability to manage large and varied workloads, prioritise effectively, and multitask.
Demonstrable experience with systems integration methods and technologies.
Track record in the design and delivery of large scale, complex integrated IT solutions.
Expertise in advising on system architecture design and the pros and cons of different distributed systems architectures.
Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical designs to a varied audience.

Desirable:

Experience in complex analysis, consulting, and providing technical recommendations.
Experience in the architecture, design, and implementation of solutions in Services, Applications, Integration, or Data.
Knowledge of enterprise-wide systems architectures and experience in a complex distributed environment.
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and transitioning from Waterfall to Agile delivery methodologies.
