We are seeking a dependable and skilled Shift Engineer to join our dedicated engineering team at a prestigious commercial property in central London. This role is integral to maintaining the smooth operation of critical building systems and ensuring high service standards around the clock.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct planned and reactive maintenance on a range of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, BMS, lighting, power distribution, and life safety systems.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose faults efficiently to minimize downtime and maintain building performance.

  • Assist in the delivery of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules and ensure adherence to all statutory compliance requirements.

  • Respond promptly to building alarms and emergency calls, taking necessary action and escalating where appropriate.

  • Maintain accurate records and logs of maintenance activities, incidents, and equipment status.

  • Collaborate closely with on-site facilities teams, contractors, and service providers to maintain a first-class working environment.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance
  • Possession of qualificationssuch as City & Guilds, BTEC, HNC, BEng, or BSc (equivalent qualifications obtained outside of the UK should have a formal statement of compatibility issued).
  • Knowledge of relevant building systems including BMS, UPS, lighting, alarm systems, AHUs, FCUs, etc.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
