We are seeking a dependable and skilled Shift Engineer to join our dedicated engineering team at a prestigious commercial property in central London. This role is integral to maintaining the smooth operation of critical building systems and ensuring high service standards around the clock.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct planned and reactive maintenance on a range of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, BMS, lighting, power distribution, and life safety systems.

Troubleshoot and diagnose faults efficiently to minimize downtime and maintain building performance.

Assist in the delivery of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules and ensure adherence to all statutory compliance requirements.

Respond promptly to building alarms and emergency calls, taking necessary action and escalating where appropriate.

Maintain accurate records and logs of maintenance activities, incidents, and equipment status.

Collaborate closely with on-site facilities teams, contractors, and service providers to maintain a first-class working environment.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance
- Possession of qualificationssuch as City & Guilds, BTEC, HNC, BEng, or BSc (equivalent qualifications obtained outside of the UK should have a formal statement of compatibility issued).
- Knowledge of relevant building systems including BMS, UPS, lighting, alarm systems, AHUs, FCUs, etc.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
