Tech Design Authority SAP Finance Systems Transformation

Contract: 6 months, ASAP start within the next 2-4 weeks

Rate: £650-£700 per day inside IR35


We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Tech Design Authority to lead the strategic technical direction of our SAP Finance Systems Transformation Project. If you have deep SAP technical expertise, a passion for governance and innovation, and the ability to make critical technical decisions that align with enterprise goals, this role is for you.


Role Responsibilities:
  • Lead the technical governance of the SAP Finance implementation.

  • Review and approve key design decisions ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture.

  • Provide expert guidance to resolve complex technical challenges.

  • Ensure strategic alignment with TCSs long-term IT roadmap.

  • Contribute to building a technology roadmap for SAP Finance.

  • Identify technical risks and propose mitigation strategies.

  • Drive innovation by integrating the latest SAP technologies and best practices.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver a cohesive, future-ready solution.

  • Mentor technical teams and uphold design excellence across the project.

  • Make authoritative technical decisions that balance business goals with technical feasibility.


Candidate Profile:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (Masters preferred).

  • 10+ years of deep technical expertise in SAP technologies, with a focus on SAP Finance modules and integrations.

  • Proven experience as a Lead Architect or Tech Design Authority in large-scale SAP implementations.

  • Strong grasp of enterprise architecture principles and frameworks.

  • Outstanding analytical thinking, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making skills.

  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities to influence at all levels.

  • Comprehensive understanding of security, performance, and scalability considerations for SAP systems.

  • Familiarity with SAP deployment models (on-premises, cloud, hybrid) and SAP certifications is highly desirable.

  • Experience with Agile and DevOps practices is a plus.


This assignment will involve hybrid working in London and there may be a need to travel to other UK locations for workshops/meetings, according to business need.
