A market leading tech company is seeking a skilled IT Support Contractor for a 6-month engagement to be based onsite at their SW London location. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in server management, with additional skills in network and desktop management.

The 6 month contract is paying circa £300 per day inside of IR35, and is a fully office based (Wandsworth) role.

Responsibilities:

  • Server Management:
    • Perform server maintenance tasks including drive replacement and powering on servers.
    • Assist with server migration and site closure as needed.
    • Monitor and manage server room access.
  • Network Management:
    • Move network cables as required.
    • Manage network configurations and monitor system performance.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
  • Desktop Management:
    • Power on workstations for remote users as required.
    • Assist users with basic IT issues during morning UK hours.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in server management, including maintenance and migration.
  • Strong knowledge of network management and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in desktop support and user assistance.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Windows 10 Pro.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as PRTG Network Monitor.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a corporate environment.
