Are you an experienced Design & Technology Technician looking to make a real impact in a dynamic school environment? We are seeking a skilled and proactive DT Technician to support our thriving Design & Technology department.

About the Role:

You will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality practical lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. This includes preparing and maintaining tools, equipment, and materials; ensuring a safe working environment; and providing technical support to both teachers and students during lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, maintaining, and organising materials and equipment for practical lessons

  • Supporting classroom teachers with demonstrations and student projects

  • Ensuring health & safety regulations are adhered to at all times

  • Maintaining and repairing tools and machinery as required

  • Assisting in the management of departmental stock and ordering supplies

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience as a Design & Technology Technician in a school setting (essential)

  • Good knowledge of workshop tools, materials, and machinery

  • Strong understanding of health & safety practices in an educational environment

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

  • A proactive, hands-on attitude and the ability to work well independently or as part of a team

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Relevant technical or engineering qualifications

  • First Aid and/or Health & Safety training (e.g., COSHH)
