Are you an experienced Design & Technology Technician looking to make a real impact in a dynamic school environment? We are seeking a skilled and proactive DT Technician to support our thriving Design & Technology department.
About the Role:
You will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality practical lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. This includes preparing and maintaining tools, equipment, and materials; ensuring a safe working environment; and providing technical support to both teachers and students during lessons.
Key Responsibilities:

Preparing, maintaining, and organising materials and equipment for practical lessons

Supporting classroom teachers with demonstrations and student projects

Ensuring health & safety regulations are adhered to at all times

Maintaining and repairing tools and machinery as required

Assisting in the management of departmental stock and ordering supplies
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
-
Previous experience as a Design & Technology Technician in a school setting (essential)

Good knowledge of workshop tools, materials, and machinery
-
Strong understanding of health & safety practices in an educational environment
-
Excellent organisational and communication skills
-
A proactive, hands-on attitude and the ability to work well independently or as part of a team
Desirable Qualifications:

Relevant technical or engineering qualifications
-
First Aid and/or Health & Safety training (e.g., COSHH)
