Senior / Principal Environmental Consultant - EIA & Consenting
Location: London or Glasgow Offices

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be representing a leading multidisciplinary consultancy in their search for a Senior or Principal Environmental Consultant to join their expanding Environment team in Scotland.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on nationally significant projects across the energy, transport, utilities, ports, and built environment sectors, while developing your career in a supportive, forward-thinking organisation.



The Opportunity

  • Lead and coordinate Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and related deliverables on a range of projects.

  • Collaborate closely with technical specialists to deliver innovative, sustainable outcomes.

  • Manage client relationships and help develop new areas of business.

  • Mentor junior colleagues and support their professional development.

  • Play an active role in bids and business growth across Scotland and the wider UK.



About You

  • Degree or master's in an environmental or related discipline.

  • Chartered, or working towards chartership (e.g. IEMA, RTPI, LI, CIWEM, CIEEM).

  • Minimum of 5 years' post-graduate experience, ideally within a consultancy environment.

  • Strong knowledge of EIA processes, consenting, and environmental management.

  • Excellent report writing, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Confident in managing client needs and delivering high-quality outputs to deadlines.

  • Proactive, adaptable, and passionate about sustainability and environmental performance.
