Job Title: Broker Technician - ConstructionLocation: Fully RemoteJob Type: Full-Time, PermanentDepartment: Broking Operations - ConstructionRole OverviewAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and detail-oriented Construction Broker Technician to join a high-performing broking team within a market-leading insurance intermediary. This role supports the end-to-end broking process for UK and international construction clients, providing technical and administrative expertise to ensure accurate and timely servicing of accounts.Working alongside brokers and underwriters, you will play a vital role in supporting placement activity, document production, compliance tracking, and post-bind servicing across a wide range of construction risks, including contractors all risks (CAR), liability, project insurance, and more.Key ResponsibilitiesDraft and process insurance documentation including Market Reform Contracts (MRCs), endorsements, debit/credit notes, cover notes, and evidence of cover.Support brokers with placement and renewal activity across annual and project-specific construction risks.Liaise with underwriters and insurers to confirm terms, endorsements, and policy issuance.Upload and maintain records on electronic placement platforms such as PPL and Whitespace.Ensure documentation meets internal and regulatory compliance standards (e.g., Lloyd's, FCA).Maintain bordereaux and manage credit control tasks in coordination with finance teams.Assist in managing key client servicing milestones, including reporting and renewal tracking.Participate in audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within broking operations.Skills & ExperiencePrevious experience in a Broker Technician or similar technical insurance role, ideally within the construction, engineering, or real estate sector.Strong knowledge of London Market practices and placement systems (PPL, Whitespace).Familiarity with construction insurance lines including CAR, DSU, PI, and liability.High attention to detail and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and broking platforms.What We OfferCompetitive salary and benefitsFully remote workingA supportive and inclusive culture with opportunities for career growthProfessional development and study support for industry qualifications
