Job Title: Marine Broker TechnicianLocation: Fully RemoteDepartment: Marine InsuranceJob Type: Full-TimeAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Marine Broker Technician to support our broking and client service teams within the marine insurance sector. This role is integral to the operational delivery of marine insurance programs, including placement support, document production, and technical administration. The successful candidate will work closely with brokers, underwriters, and clients to ensure accurate and timely servicing of accounts.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and process insurance documentation such as slips, endorsements, debit/credit notes, and cover notes in accordance with market standards.Support the placement process for marine risks, including hull, cargo, liability, and other maritime exposures.Liaise with underwriters and brokers to confirm terms, conditions, and pricing of coverages.Ensure accurate data entry into internal systems and maintain up-to-date records of client portfolios.Reconcile premium payments and manage bordereaux reporting when applicable.Handle queries from internal teams and clients in a professional and timely manner.Monitor compliance with regulatory and procedural requirements across all documentation and communication.Assist with claims documentation and coordination when needed.Qualifications & ExperiencePrevious experience in a similar role within the insurance industry, preferably in marine or transportation lines.Strong knowledge of the London insurance market and marine insurance practices is highly desirable.Proficiency with insurance systems such as PPL, Whitespace, or ECF is advantageous.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.Key CompetenciesCustomer-focused with a commitment to service excellence.Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Team-oriented with the ability to also work independently.Adaptability and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
