Arthur is partnered with a leading Specialty (Re)Insurance company who is offering an excellent opportunity for an Entry-Level Underwriting Assistant to join their team.This role is perfect for someone who has recently completed their A Levels and eager to develop a strong foundation in the insurance sector.  As an Underwriting Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the underwriting and operations team with administrative tasks, policy documentation, and data management, while learning the technical skills needed to grow your career in insurance.Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist underwriters in the preparation, processing, and administration of insurance policies.
  • Manage policy documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Input and maintain data within underwriting and policy administration systems.
  • Support the underwriting team with ad hoc administrative tasks and reporting.
  • Develop a solid understanding of underwriting guidelines, procedures, and risk assessment.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the team by meeting deadlines and maintaining high service standards.
The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail, with the ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally. They will bring a proactive, positive attitude and a genuine willingness to learn, alongside the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload efficiently.
