SAP Application Support Engineer - Contract | London (UK-based) Start ASAP | ?? 6+ months (initial) | ?? Inside IR35 - £400 to £650 a day
We're working with a global consultancy on a key digital transformation project within the financial services sector. They're seeking an experienced SAP Application Support Engineer to join a collaborative and high-performing team, focused on supporting a critical payments platform.
In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in owning technical decisions, engaging with cross-functional teams, and delivering scalable solutions. You'll also be hands-on in developing on HANA, managing incidents, and providing expert-level application support.
Essential Skills:
- Strong SAP ABAP (Object-Oriented) development experience
- Hands-on experience with SAP Payment Engine (FS-PE) or similar financial processing modules
- Proficiency in SAP on HANA and best practices in incident/problem management
- Experience supporting enterprise-level environments within regulated industries, ideally banking or payments
- Strong communicator with a collaborative, solutions-driven mindset
Desirable Skills:
- Exposure to SAP Deposit Management or SAP Payment Central
- Functional SAP knowledge in addition to technical expertise
- Prior consultancy or client-facing project experience
