Strategy Analyst | Scaling Music Business | London/Hybrid

The Role
Reporting into a talented Director of Strategy, this Strategy Analyst will have the opportunity to provide the research and insight to drive strategic decision making for the business. In this dynamic role, you'll have a clear impact on commercial performance, great visibility to senior stakeholders/C-suite, and getting the opportunity to immerse yourself in the music industry.
This position is quite broad and varied, but your core responsibilities include analysing financial reports, industry trends, macroeconomic factors, and competitor performance to help drive decision-making. You'd be tasked with reporting, presenting, and distributing your findings and suggestions across the business, giving you the opportunity to have a direct impact on business strategy and performance. Additionally, you'll be tasked with tracking and monitoring the progress of strategic projects, as well as taking initiative to flag concerns and problem-solve as needed. This role has a big presence in the business, providing you with the opportunity to business partner with the executive, data, finance, and investment teams.
The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a strategy consultancy firm with a clear passion for the music industry. We're looking for a PowerPoint whiz who feels comfortable compiling research and communicating findings, both qualitative and quantitative, to audiences from different backgrounds. Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as a comfort with numerical data and the ability to translate complex concepts to different audiences, is key. We're looking for an ambitious, curious, strategy analyst who, most importantly, LOVES the music industry.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to strategic decision-making discussions, presenting findings and suggestions to the Director of Strategy and Executive Team
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, creating PowerPoint presentations, briefings, or written reports
- Analyse business/project performance, economic drivers, competitor performance, relevant policy/political developments and report their impact on business' interests
- Track and monitor initiatives and projects, taking initiative to problem-solve and flag concerns to keep performance on schedule
- Keep track of trends affecting the music industry
- Liaise with Finance and Data teams to complete reports and obtain/analyse relevant data
- Ad hoc tasks to support the Director of Strategy
What We Need to See (Essential)
- 1-2 years experience in a strategy consultancy
- A massive passion for the music industry!
What We'd Like to See (Bonus/Non-Essential)
- Previous experience in a strategy role within the Music industry
Package: £40,000-£50,000 + bonus
Working Pattern: 3 days in-office, 2 days work from home
