About Kirkdale Studios

Kirkdale Studios is an exciting startup focusing on the design and supply of contract furniture.

We work on a variety of hospitality and commercial projects through our established connections with designers, architects and hospitality companies. This is aided by our network of over 300 factories and manufacturers across the UK and EU, with products ranging from standard factory items to made-to-order bespoke pieces.

Our mission is to assist our clients to find the items that perfectly fit their brief. Our passion is for furniture design and collaborating with our clients to create beautiful interior spaces. This is reflected in our company culture, with each member of the Kirkdale team having a background in design. We plan to put more emphasis on the design function of our business in the coming months, therefore to develop on our strengths we depend on our future team members to share our passion.

The Right Candidate

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working individual with a minimum of 2 years experience in hospitality FF&E sales and a passion for furniture and design.

They must be willing to take ownership and responsibility of creating sales using their existing accounts, with the urge to hunt and sell to new accounts. Demonstrating

entrepreneurship and leadership in the role from day one.

This is an ideal opportunity for any individual who would like to take control of their own ability, be more creative in what they do and to work within a small like minded team that work together to reach the same goal.

DUTIES

Sales

  • Introducing Kirkdale Studios to new accounts, through face-to-face presentations or remotely.
  • Following up on new inbound opportunities and leads, making sure to understand requirements, our actions, and timescale.
  • Engage in regular contact with clients and monitor progress of projects
  • Offer guidance and support when required
  • Nurturing relationships with existing clients via regular meetings

Project Management

  • Liaising with operations to monitor progress of all projects
  • Liaising with factories and manufacturers for progress on all bespoke pieces
  • Attendance at all installations
  • Liaising with accounts team regarding any outstanding payments and chasing balances from clients.

Customer Care

  • Liaise with clients regarding any post-delivery issues
  • Agree actions with our operations team and plan any remedial action

Other

  • Overall responsibility for customer relationships
  • Keep abreast of industry development and new product ranges
  • Occasional networking events

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Passionate about design and interiors
  • Creative mind
  • 2 years experience in Hospitality FF&E Sales
  • Degree in product design or interior design preferred
  • Interior design degree qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Interest and understanding of furniture manufacturing techniques (desirable)
  • Experience working on large hospitality projects
  • A demonstrable network within the hospitality industry.
  • Confidence in chairing and leading meetings and presenting Kirkdale to large groups of people
  • Strong reporting capability and organisation skills
  • A sound knowledge and understanding within hospitality FF&E and specification (desirable).
