Stock & Operational Controller

Main responsibilities for the successful Stock & Operational Controller:
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing products, ensuring that inventory levels are aligned with sales and demand.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate timely replenishment orders to prevent stockouts while minimising excess inventory.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to fulfil customer orders promptly and accurately.
- Conduct regular quality checks on incoming and outgoing products to ensure they meet established standards.
- Analyse inventory data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimising inventory turnover and minimising carrying costs.
- Generate regular and ad hoc reports on stock levels, inventory turnover, and other relevant metrics for management review.
- Maintain effective communication with suppliers to track order status, lead times, and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Manage the process of handling returns, defective products, and warranty claims, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
- Optimise warehouse space by implementing efficient storage and layout strategies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to inventory management.
- Identify areas for process optimisation within the inventory management workflow and propose and implement solutions.
Main Requirements for the successful Stock & Operational Controller:
- 2 years proven experience in inventory management, stock control, or related roles. Experience with inventory management software and systems is highly desirable.
- Exceptional organisational abilities and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret inventory data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Adept at identifying issues, proposing solutions, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborative and capable of working effectively within a team-oriented environment.
- Proficient in using MS Excel, inventory management software, and other relevant tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adjusting to changing priorities as needed.
- Keen eye for accuracy in maintaining records and managing stock.
