Japanese speaking Assistant Investment ManagerRef: SF46238A Japanese financial institute is currently recruiting a Japanese speaking Assistant Investment Manager to work in their London office.In this role, you will be responsible for managing and assisting in the management of Money Market and Fixed Income funds, as well as performing operational tasks and compliance monitoring.The ideal candidate should have more than 3 years of working experiences in the financial industry, excellent communication skills in English and Japanese, and a collaborative work ethic.

Assistant Investment Manager Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing discretionary investment management services
  • Assisting to manage fixed income funds; trade cash deposits & short term fixed income such as commercial paper, cash-flow management
  • Monitor the portfolios in terms of investment and regulatory compliance, cash maintenance, collateral checking
  • Correspond with the parent company in Tokyo, as well as custodians, management companies, and fund accountants as required
  • Fixed Income trading for some funds
  • Back up Settlement administration for Fixed Income transactions
  • Exposure to other operational tasks such as fund accounting, monitoring regulatory developments
  • Assist the Managing Director in ensuring the smooth running of the business

Assistant Investment Manager Ideal Candidate:

  • More than 3 years of working experiences in the financial industry is preferable
  • Good verbal communication in both English and Japanese
  • Expertise in VBAs and other related technologies
  • Enthusiastic and diligent personality
  • Appropriate financial services exams including the UK regulatory module and recent/current FCA approval
