We're recruiting for an experienced and qualified Ventilation Maintenance Engineer to join a highly skilled engineering team on a prestigious static critical site in Central London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a technically challenging environment where your expertise will directly support the continuous operation of critical infrastructure.
This role is ideal for someone with strong ventilation/HVAC maintenance experience, ideally gained in a critical or high-reliability setting such as data centres, hospitals, or financial institutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine and reactive maintenance of ventilation systems, AHUs, VAVs, extract systems, and general HVAC plant.
Perform fault-finding and diagnostics on ventilation equipment and associated controls.
Ensure ventilation and air quality systems comply with current legislation, standards, and site-specific requirements.
Monitor, maintain, and adjust BMS-controlled ventilation settings.
Work in accordance with PPM schedules, ensuring all logs and compliance records are up to date.
Respond to critical callouts, alarms, and equipment failures promptly and effectively.
Liaise with on-site stakeholders to minimise disruption and ensure excellent service delivery.
Carry out minor mechanical tasks related to HVAC systems when required.
Ensure adherence to site Health & Safety policies and critical site protocols.
Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary engineering team on shift.
Requirements:
Proven experience maintaining HVAC and ventilation systems in a commercial or critical environment.
Relevant HVAC or ventilation qualifications (e.g. F-Gas, BESA, NVQ Level 2/3 in HVAC, or equivalent).
Strong understanding of air handling systems, ductwork, fans, dampers, and filters.
Comfortable working 12-hour shifts in a 2 days on, 2 nights on, 4 days off pattern.
Good understanding of BMS operation and HVAC controls.
Proactive, safety-conscious, and team-oriented.
