Editorial Assistant   - 4 days a week - Hybrid  We are currently recruiting for a Editorial Assistant to start immediately for 5 months to join the Strategic Communications department in the College.Part time -4 Days a Week 28 hours Ideally in the office on a Tuesday and a Wednesday The role is Hybrid- 2 days in the office and 2 days from home and working on a full-time basis and is paying a competitive 29,768 - £32,646 £18.73 - £20.54 an hour depending experience WHO WILL YOU BE WORKING FOR?Our client is an established non-profit healthcare membership body.   WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?  
    • To organise, attend, take notes at the Publications Management Board, journal Editorial Boards, and general meetings held by the Publishing Team. Circulate notes and actions in a timely manner and in accordance with College policy.
    • To manage and maintain Editorial Board records, recruitment and training, and engagement, including training of the online submission system and coordinating regular newsletters and updates to the boards.
    • To process book royalty payments for the College’s books backlist
    • To support Managing Editors with processing of journal content, including extras, book reviews, and obituaries
    • To provide support in finalising digital content for the journals and books, e.g. checking transcripts and captions for podcasts and videos
    • To support with posting about new journal content on social media.
    • To support and attend activities of the Publishing Team at conferences and events 
ABOUT YOU?
    • Experience of liaising with partners and stakeholders to deliver agreed plans and objectives
    • Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills
    • Experience using an online manuscript processing system
    • Experience in STM publishing
    • Familiarity with academic content and papers
    • Familiarity with design software, e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud
