Admissions Officer
Salary: 35,000 - 50,000
Based in Kensington
Office Based: 8 am -4 pm
A high-achieving independent college based in Kensington is looking for an Admissions Officer to lead student recruitment and guide families through the admissions process. The Admissions Officer will be at the forefront of student recruitment, engaging with prospective students, their families, and educational agents. From the very first enquiry through to enrolment, you will provide a welcoming, professional, and supportive admissions experience.
Admissions Officer duties included for the role:
Student Recruitment & Outreach
- Act as the first point of contact for prospective families and agents, providing clear guidance throughout the admissions process.
- Manage the end-to-end admissions journey: enquiries, visits, assessments, interviews, and offers.
- Build strong relationships with agents, feeder schools, and families, and support open days, tours, and induction events.
- Collaborate on marketing initiatives to ensure admissions materials and digital content reflect the College's values.
Student & Family Support
- Maintain strong relationships with students and families from initial enquiry through to enrolment.
- Work closely with tutors and support staff to promote student wellbeing and integration.
- Assist with extracurricular activities and social events to enrich the student experience.
Admissions & Administration
- Oversee registration and onboarding, including collecting documentation, references, and compliance checks.
- Maintain accurate records of enquiries, applications, and registrations using internal systems.
- Coordinate with academic and administrative teams to ensure new students are supported effectively.
- Manage agent relationships, keeping agreements and records up to date.
Admissions Officer experience required:
- Previous experience in school admissions or student recruitment, sales, marketing, client facing position.
- Outstanding communication skills - able to build trust, rapport, and lasting relationships with families, students, and partners
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset - resilient, positive, and willing to go the extra mile to overcome challenges.
- Able to manage multiple priorities while staying focused on student success.
- Familiarity with the UK independent school sector - desirable
- Fluency in additional languages - desirable
