Data Analyst - Children's Services
£35 per hour | Inside IR35 | London Borough | Hybrid (1 day onsite per week)
3-Month Rolling Contract | Start Date: 2nd June 2025
Salt's Local Government team is supporting a London Borough in the recruitment of an experienced Data Analyst to join their Children's Services directorate, focusing on Regulated Service & Resources. This role will support key areas such as looked after children, fostering, and edge of care, providing high-quality data analysis to inform service delivery and operational decisions.
Please note: we can only consider candidates who have demonstrable experience as a Data Analyst within Children's Social Care in a Local Authority setting. Applications without this background will not be progressed.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver regular and ad-hoc performance reporting across regulated children's services
- Build dashboards and visual reporting tools using Power BI and Excel
- Analyse and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to support service improvement
- Work collaboratively with operational managers to understand reporting needs
- Provide insights that support strategic planning and front-line practice
- Proven track record as a Data Analyst within Children's Social Care in Local Government
- Strong technical skills in Excel, Power BI, and ideally SQL
- Comfortable working with large datasets and presenting insights clearly
- Strong understanding of key performance indicators and statutory reporting in children's services
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- 3-month rolling contract

- £35 per hour (via umbrella company)
- Hybrid working - 1 day per week onsite in London
