Tripod Partners are seeking a Data Analyst to support the Regulated Services & Resources team within a Local Authority Children’s Services department. This is a vital role focused on delivering data insights to inform service delivery, improve outcomes for children at risk of care, and enhance strategic decision-making. The post will work closely with the Children’s Homes Finding Team, Fostering Development Team, and Edge of Care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and interpret data across regulated children’s services to identify trends and improve service delivery.

  • Develop, implement and improve data recording systems for operational and strategic use.

  • Produce reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI, SQL, R, and Python.

  • Ensure compliance with statutory reporting, including SSDA903 returns.

  • Present insights to support placement stability, fostering recruitment, and edge-of-care planning.

  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to develop data-informed approaches.

  • Support data governance, quality assurance and secure handling of sensitive data.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in data analysis, ideally within children's services or a local authority.

  • Strong proficiency in analytical tools (e.g. Power BI, SQL, R, Python).

  • Understanding of the statutory context of children’s social care, including performance indicators and reporting standards.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex data in a clear, accessible format.

  • Knowledge of social care systems (e.g., Mosaic) desirable.

  • Right to work in the UK.
