Town Planner

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading UK property consultancy in their search for a Town Planner to join their London based planning team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and commercially aware Town Planner to take the next step in their career with a highly regarded consultancy known for delivering high quality advice across the property, planning, and development sectors. You'll join a growing and dynamic planning team that works on a diverse portfolio of projects across London and the South East from complex urban regeneration schemes to major commercial, residential, and mixed use developments.
The Role
As a Town Planner, you'll work closely with senior colleagues and clients to provide expert planning advice and manage a variety of planning applications and appeals. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects while developing your professional and commercial skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing, submitting, and managing planning applications and appeals.
Conducting site appraisals, planning research, and policy analysis.
Preparing planning statements, design and access statements, and reports.
Liaising with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
Supporting senior colleagues in business development and project delivery.
Representing the company at meetings, public consultations, and planning committees.
About You
A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
MRTPI qualified or actively working towards chartered status.
Around 2-5 years' post graduate experience within a consultancy or local authority environment.
Strong understanding of the UK planning system and current planning policy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
A proactive, enthusiastic, and team-oriented approach.
