- Provide expert legal advice to Children’s Services on Public Law Outline (PLO) matters and advise on initiating public law care proceedings.
- Conduct advocacy on complex childcare cases, including those with an international element, immigration considerations, capacity issues, non-accidental injuries, and large sibling groups.
- Draft a wide range of legal documents including case summaries, case management orders, Part 25 applications, particularised thresholds, skeleton arguments, and written submissions.
- Handle judicial review claims involving Children’s Services and Education, including drafting procedures, policies, and protocols for transitional cases.
- Qualified Solicitor with demonstrable experience in childcare and family law within a local authority setting.
- Confident advocate with the ability to manage complex and sensitive cases.
- Strong drafting skills and a sound understanding of public law care proceedings.
