The Role: Commercial Property Solicitor (4-6 PQE)The firm is seeking a skilled Commercial Property Solicitor with 4-6 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) to join its esteemed Property team in London. This role involves managing a varied portfolio of commercial and residential property matters, including:
- Site acquisitions and disposals for development projects.
- Property investment and portfolio management for corporate and private clients.
- Development projects, including residential plot sales and mixed-use schemes.
- Landlord and tenant matters, such as drafting and negotiating commercial and residential leases, lease assignments, and renewals.
- Estate management, overseeing property portfolios and service charge disputes.
- Property finance, including secured lending and refinancing transactions.
The successful candidate will engage directly with clients, taking a lead role in transactions while collaborating with a small, highly experienced team. This position offers the opportunity to delegate to junior colleagues and contribute to the department's growth. While a modest client following is advantageous, it is not mandatory. The role is ideal for a solicitor eager to work in a fast-paced, supportive environment where their contributions are valued and rewarded.
Candidate Experience and QualificationsWe are looking for a driven and talented solicitor with the following experience:
- Professional Experience: 4-6 years' PQE in commercial property law, with demonstrable experience in both commercial and residential transactions. Specific expertise in site acquisitions, disposals, landlord-tenant issues, plot sales, estate management, and property finance is essential. Experience with residential development schemes is highly desirable.
