Court of Protection Solicitor / Associate SolicitorSalary: £38,000 – £45,000 (DOE)Location: North London / HybridA well-regarded North London firm is seeking a Court of Protection solicitor (0–3 years PQE) to join its growing team. This is a great opportunity for a junior lawyer to build a specialist practice focused on welfare proceedings and mental capacity law.You’ll manage your own caseload—primarily s.21A applications, with some s.16 work—and work alongside a team recognised for its expertise. Experience in mental capacity and best interests issues is essential. Those with greater experience may be considered for an Associate-level role.Requirements:
  • Qualified solicitor (0–3 years PQE)
  • Court of Protection welfare experience (s.21A essential)
  • Strong drafting and communication skills
  • Team-oriented and committed to social justice
Desirable:
  • Experience with s.16 applications
  • Supervision or mentoring experience
  • Recognition or ambition for Legal 500/Chambers listing
