This is an In-house Property Litigation role on a 12 month fixed term basis for a lawyer with in-depth knowledge of the BSA 2022 and related Regulations.

Description

You will:

  • Handle your own case load of predominantly property litigation matters, with appropriate supervision, according to experience
  • Deal with all stages of disputes from pre-litigation stage up to and including trial/hearing advocacy (as required) as well as other ad-hoc building safety and property litigation matters as required, with appropriate supervision.
  • Liaise with external solicitors and Counsel, where instructed, monitoring external costs spend carefully and obtaining appropriate expenditure authorities.
  • Provide general support and advice to internal clients within the Company (including Directors, Operations, Building Safety, Credit Control, Property Management and Consents functions) on property legislation requirements and regulatory compliance.

Profile

The successful candidate will be qualified as a Solicitor or Barrister in England & Wales.

They are likely to have between 4 and 8 years of PQE (this is based on the level of work on offer, the existing Team structure and the remuneration on offer for the role.

Essential:

  • Experience of dealing with and advising on matters relating to the Building Safety Act 2022.
  • Experience of residential long leasehold properties, not private rented (AST) sector.

Desirable:

  • Experience of conveyancing, property acquisitions, and property related finance
  • Experience of company and commercial transactional matters
  • Experience of GDPR legislation
