This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse caseload involving high-profile and cutting-edge IP disputes across a range of sectors.The RoleThe successful candidate will advise on a broad spectrum of contentious and advisory matters related to:
- Soft IP rights, including trademarks, designs, copyright, passing off, domain names, and confidential information
- Patent disputes, including Supplementary Protection Certificates (SPCs), standard-essential patents, FRAND (Fair, Reasonable, and Non-Discriminatory) licensing issues, and freedom to operate assessments
You will be involved in complex, high-value litigation and have the opportunity to act for a range of clients, from innovative start-ups to multinational corporations.Key Responsibilities
- Advising on the enforcement and protection of IP rights
- Managing contentious proceedings in the High Court and other relevant forums
- Working closely with clients to provide strategic IP advice
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and other court documents
- Coordinating with experts, counsel, and overseas lawyers as required
About You
- 2+PQE with a strong background in IP disputes
- Experience handling litigation and advisory work across both soft IP and patents
- Solid understanding of trade mark and design right enforcement, patent litigation, and commercial IP strategy
- Strong analytical, drafting, and client communication skills
- A collaborative team player with a proactive approach and commercial mindset
