Due to an internal restructure creating a brand new opportunity, our client is excited to be hiring for an ambitious and focused Learning & Development Advisor to join their growing team. The L&D team is considered a "centre of excellence" internally, and the are viewed as an essential part of the firm’s development and growth strategy - not just as a tick box. So if you’re looking for an opportunity to really stretch your L&D skills, and to grow and develop personally, then this newly created role could be perfect. Working at a mid-sized law firm in the City, who have a fantastic reputation and enviable culture, they are hoping to find an ambitious L&D Advisor with a growth mindset, excellent people skills, and an in-depth understanding of how a successful L&D function can positively impact on a company. Ideal candidates will be coming from another law firm’s L&D team, as so much of the work is aligned to legal training and development (lawyer CPD), but they might consider candidates from similarly structured professional services organisations.Duties will include;
- Act as the lead and first point of call for L&D queries.
- Identify and monitor external training providers, regularly auditing their performance and effectiveness.
- Help to design and produce in-house training materials, including those to be delivered yourself.
- Research and cost new training proposals for consideration by the team.
- Help to design and deliver (non-legal) skills-based workshops for staff at all levels.
- Be responsible for delivering the L&D portion of the induction for new joiners.
- Help develop the growing collection of virtual, on demand, skills training modules, including AI tools.
- Conduct training needs analyses and, working alongside the Head of Learning, update and implement changes to programmes as required.
In addition to a solid background in L&D (at least 3-4 years) they would love to get someone on board who is already familiar with one or more L&D systems, personality profiling methodology, and if you’re working towards some kind of coaching qualification, that would be amazing!
