We are currently partnering with a university based in London, who are recruiting for a contracts/commercial lawyer to join their growing team on a permanent basis.
This is a full-time position and the start date is subject to notice.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):

Drafting, reviewing, and amending HEI-specific and general contracts and providing legal advice on governance, regulations, and compliance.

Assessing legal risks, managing external counsel, overseeing litigation, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Leading the Legal Services team, mentoring staff, developing legal resources, and driving service improvements.

Advising on policies, governance, and legal compliance. Representing the University externally and leading complex negotiations.

Delivering training, reviewing governance frameworks, and monitoring legal developments to ensure compliance.
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

Qualified solicitor, barrister, or legal executive

Substantial relevant PQE

Extensive experience in the HEI sector
