Service Care Legal are currently recruiting on behalf of a London Borough Council who are seeking a Legal Officer to join a local authority based in the West London region. Please find below further details around this.ROLE:                  Legal Officer – Property & PlanningLOCATION:         West London (remote working)         RATE:                   £26 to £28ph LTD (£25ph PAY inc. holiday pay, £22.31ph PAYE exc. holiday pay) CONTRACT:        36 hours per week, initial 3 months with possibility of extensionThe Role
  • To assist the Lawyers in progressing caseloads through to completion Property Law
  • Matters will include right to Buy, lease extensions, collective enfranchisement, licence for alterations, discount market sale, private sector leasing, certificates of compliance and routine acquisitions
  • To deal with all matters from inception to post completion, including registration where applicable
The Person
  • A law-related qualification (LPC / LLM / LLB) or qualified by experience
  • Previous experience of working within a local authority would be essential
  • Property law experience in relation to leases would also be essential
