A prestigious London-based law firm is looking to appoint a Residential Property Solicitor to join their highly ranked Private Real Estate team. This is a full-time, permanent position, ideal for a Residential Property Solicitor with 3-6 years' PQE who is ready to take on a varied caseload and play a central role in a successful and growing department.

As a Residential Property Solicitor, you will work closely with a Legal 500 and Chambers ranked team, advising high-net-worth individuals, family offices, companies, and trusts on premium residential property transactions. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Residential Property Solicitor seeking progression within a collaborative environment that places a strong emphasis on technical excellence and client service.

The Residential Property Solicitor's role

The successful Residential Property Solicitor will focus on high-value freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals, as well as remortgages and leasehold enfranchisement matters. You will be exposed to a wide range of complex property work involving domestic and international clients, often in collaboration with colleagues across Private Client, Family, and Commercial Real Estate teams.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Managing residential property transactions from instruction to completion

  • Advising on new build and off-plan purchases

  • Handling landlord and tenant matters

  • Liaising with tax advisors, accountants, and property agents

  • Supervising junior team members (where applicable)

The Residential Property Solicitor

To be considered for the Residential Property Solicitor role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • 3-6 years' PQE with solid experience in residential property sales and acquisitions

  • Strong understanding of leasehold enfranchisement and landlord/tenant issues

  • Proven ability to manage transactions independently and efficiently

  • Experience working with high-net-worth clients and complex ownership structures

  • Excellent drafting, research, and interpersonal skills

  • Commercial awareness and enthusiasm for business development

  • Experience supervising junior staff is advantageous
