RedLaw is working with a leading global law firm who are looking to hire a Senior In-house Counsel for their expanding Risk team in London.

If you're a Commercial Associate ready to step away from fee-earning but still want to play a key role in high-level commercial work, this could be the opportunity for you.

This role offers the perfect balance—commercially focused, strategically important, and outside of traditional fee-earning.

You will report directly to the Head of Corporate Risk & Governance and work closely with the General Counsel, playing a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with professional standards. Key responsibilities will include policy development, conducting file audits, delivering training, and managing contractual matters for both client engagements and supplier relationships.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor with at least 4 years’ post-qualification experience and a solid foundation in commercial law.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, productive relationships across all levels of the firm, fostering collaboration and trust.
  • Skilled in conveying complex issues with clarity, and able to deliver difficult decisions effectively and diplomatically.
  • Experience within a large City or international law firm is highly desirable.
