About the RoleWestminster City Council is seeking an Entry-Level Solicitor to support its Development and Property Legal Team during a period of maternity cover. The role involves delivering commercial property legal services to both Westminster City Council and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
This is a hybrid role, with office attendance required in line with council policies.
Key Responsibilities-
Provide legal advice on commercial property transactions within a local government context

Support clients with clear, practical legal guidance

Manage a caseload of property-related legal matters

Draft and review leases, licences, and decision-making reports

Collaborate with colleagues across departments on multi-disciplinary issues

Ensure compliance with internal procedures and statutory frameworks
We are looking for someone who is:

A qualified Solicitor or CILEx Legal Executive (entry level)

Ideally has some exposure to commercial property law and/or local authority legal work

Confident with drafting legal documents and advising clients

Well-organised, proactive, and a clear communicator

Eager to build experience in a public sector legal team
