About the Role:Â
This is an exciting opportunity to work across a wide spectrum of high-quality commercial matters, IP, IT and data protection issues. You will join a collaborative and ambitious team advising a diverse client base—from innovative start-ups to established blue-chip companies—across a variety of sectors including life sciences, media, consumer products and emerging tech.
The role offers the chance to work on significant national and international projects involving technology, intellectual property and data-driven issues, including:
- Drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts (eg, licensing, collaboration, supply and distribution)
- Advising on IP matters, including protection, exploitation and licensing strategies
- Working with clients in sectors such as life sciences, digital health, media and energy
- Handling IT and telecoms projects including outsourcing and software development agreements
- Supporting GDPR and broader privacy compliance initiatives
- Contributing to business development and participating in internal and external training and events
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements
- Advise on IP, IT, data protection and broader technology matters
- Provide professional support to partners and team members
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Assist in business development and contribute to marketing initiatives
- Participate in training and integration activities across offices
Key Requirements
- 4+ years’ PQE with experience in commercial/IP/IT/data protection law
- Strong experience gained at a recognised City, regional, or international firm or in-house legal team
- Excellent drafting and analytical skills
- Confidence in managing client relationships and leading on matters
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team on complex transactions
- Sound judgment and excellent interpersonal skills
